
British national treasure brand Burberry published he first half of the financial statements in 17th November. According to the interim report released in the same day,till 30th September,Burberry made a pre-tax profit of 78 million pounds. It’s about 19.6% less than the same time last year,but the income increasing by 6%?572 million pounds?,and 10% of them is from the Emerging markets.
Face the bleak situation in European markets,Burberry expressed that will further expand investment in emerging markets, Chinese market is the point and key to development cos the Chinese customers have the great purchasing potential.
Up to now,there are over 90 sales outlets in the emerging markets,most of them are running as a franchised outlet, 44 sales outlets locate in China. The Chief Executive Officer of Buberry Angela Ahrendts disclosed,the sales in China increase in Double-digit growth every year, Burberry will vigorously develop the Chinese market and expand its sales outlets to 100 in China in the next few years.
