Hislife: Will you recruit student?
Jimmy Choo: Of course I will,the generation of my father were very selfish,they were not willing to teach – you have to learn with your eyes.Now I teach my students.I want to tell everybody,our Chinese are not selfish.
Hislife: Who or which group are the master of your shoes?
Jimmy Choo: I design and make shoes for those people who trust me and know my art.they are know me well,and know what Jimmy Choo means. They followed my design,have well fashion-conscious.I design with appointment,all my guests are very special,they come from different palce,have they own style,some customers even ask to set feathers or gem on shoes.
Hislife: How to custom your shoes?
Jimmy Choo: Guests must make a appointment.If not,I don’t know what do you want,hard to service for you. The first time I meet guest,I have to see their shape of foot,then take their measurements,ask the aim of making this shoes,for wedding or party,or just want to have a comfortable shoes replace others.Based this require,I know how to design for you.The second time guests come here is for a try-on to see which part need to be changed,then I will bring a perfect shoes for you.
Hislife: What different between your shoes and the shoes sold in market?
Jimmy Choo: You have no choice in a shoes store in style and hight,you like one style but don’t like high heels,I can design flat for you. Custom-made more free.
Hislife: how do you make sure a style of shoes for your guests?
Jimmy Choo: There are lots of styles shoes in my store. And I will introduced new style every week,guests could pick up one their like,and also could show them opinion of the shoes.But we have a important rule:no copy.You bring a pair of shoes and say:”make the same for me”. I won’t do that,whatever how much.
Hislife: Who is the one left you the deepest image in all your guest?
Jimmy Chop: Design for Princess Diana is the most memorable. It was funny designing for Mittle’s wedding shoes lately,they ask using gem,Swarovski and colorful clothing,these materials are very warm and comfortable.
Hislife: Do you have any designers you like?
Jimmy Choo: Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik. Good shoes designers are not many,Louboutin has great design,and Blahnik is very fashion,he is all new’s best teacher.
Love will be gone,but shoes are forever,in ” sex and city”,the actress Carrie carried a pair of high heel with bright eyes,and that pair of shoes is Jimmy choo.
Jimmy Choo gave up his share in “Jimmy Choo” company,still insisting in his custom-made store in London,just accept 800-1000 pair of high-heels one year,some shoes even cost about one month.
He chooses returning to make shoes and make his design idea come true again in his 48 years old at last,nowadays,the cheapest custom-made Jimmy Choo shoes is 650 pounds,the most expensive one is 7500 pounds,it’s one of the most expensive shoes in the world. Jimmy Choo just cooperated with H&M,it worked very well,maybe for it,it’s a good way to expand their influence. But this time their partner is UGG,Jimmy Choo,represent of sexy and noble,UGG,snow boots,everybody could wear it,total unexpectedly! This idea must be thought out by CEO of Jimmy Choo Tamara Mellon.
This cooperation will introduce 5 styles of shoes,in fact,these 5 styles of shoes will be on market in October this year.It’s said that the design is based on UGG but will add some Jimmy Choo’s details.(what the heck will be?)
But It is disappointing that the price is not “UGG, but “Jimmy Choo”. From 595 to 795 dollars Jimmy Choo for UGG luxury snow boots will be sold in the exclusive store of Jimmy Choo and UGG,besides that,you will see them in the high-grade department store all over the world.
Seems Tamara Mellon is more concerned this cooperation than with H&M, she said in her wardrobe,besides Jimmy Choo shoes,others all is UGG. Have on idea Mr. Jimmy Choo how to see this cooperation.but this brand now is none of his business,hope it will not make him disappoint.
